Volunteers in Public Schools Parents are encouraged to participate in their child's education by volunteering. Volunteers are needed to help in the classrooms, library, office, and PTO. A volunteer can be a parent, friend, grandparent, aunt, uncle, and older brother or sister. Volunteer work can be done at the school or in the home.   As a volunteer it is very important the the hours you give to the school be recorded on special card in the VIPS room at Milam. This year a VIPS calendar will be sent home with your child in his/her report card each six weeks asking volunteers to record any hours they forgot to record while at the school or for work completed in the home.   For more information contact Lauren Espinoza         Counselor at 209-3961.
