Volunteers in Public Schools
Parents are encouraged to participate in their child's education by volunteering. Volunteers are needed to help in the classrooms, library, office, and PTO. A volunteer can be a parent, friend, grandparent, aunt, uncle, and older brother or sister. Volunteer work can be done at the school or in the home.
As a volunteer it is very important the the hours you give to the school be recorded on special card in the VIPS room at Milam. This year a VIPS calendar will be sent home with your child in his/her report card each six weeks asking volunteers to record any hours they forgot to record while at the school or for work completed in the home.
