Weekly Parent Letter

Dear Mitchell Families,
We had a great first week of school!!! Thank you for being so supportive of your child during the first week. Your words of encouragement go such a long way.
There are several ways to stay ìin the knowî at Mitchell Elementary. One way is to check your childís Tuesday folder each week. You can also sign up to receive emails from me which will include the weekly parent letter or you can become a ìfanî of Mitchell Elementary on Facebook.
If you are new to Mitchell and as a refresher to everyone returning, I send home a weekly letter which outlines what is happening at Mitchell. Also, I have coaching days and office days. On my two coaching days, I am out of my office and in classrooms. On my three office days, I schedule meetings with parents, other meetings, and work that needs to get done. So, if you ever need to visit with me either in person or by phone, please either contact me through email at kkaspar@bryanisd.org so that we can set up a time
to meet OR contact my secretary, Lajuana Green at 209-1400 to set up a time for us.
Our Open House and Parent Orientation events are scheduled for Thursday, September 9th. We are meeting at 6:30 in the cafeteria for a general session and then we will move to the classrooms beginning at 7:00 and ending at 8:00. Additionally, we will meet with parents of Special Education students at 6:00 in the Art room and with parents of Gifted and Talented students at 6:00 in the computer lab.
Our Annual Family Swim Night is Friday, September 10th. I hope that your family will be able to join us at Adamson Lagoon. Please be sure to return your family swim night form to sign-up so that we are sure to have enough food There should be a form for Family Swim Night in your childís Tuesday folder.
