1Vision TIP Grant at Sam Rayburn Middle School
Sixth grade at SRMS is buzzing with activity! Laptops have become a part of everyday classroom lessons as teachers and students transition from traditional to digital classrooms. The technology engages students and streamlines delivery of content. Teachers can easily distribute materials to students using online classroom "conferences." Students download materials, complete assignments on the computer and then submit their work by uploading their completed work.
Online resources provide many opportunities for learning. TeenBiz 3000 is an online resource which delivers non-fiction, current event stories each day. Students read, answer questions, and complete other activities relating to the story. Responses are tracked and teachers can see the results in the form of various reports.
