2007-2008 Softball

Congratulations to the Lady Viking Softball
team for a great season!
Bryan's Calli Wood and Emily Albus where named 1st Team All-Americans by the NFCA(national fastpitch coaches association).

Wood participated in the TGCA All-Star Game on Tuesday July 8 in Arlington playing for the West team. Wood was 1-2 with an rbi. Wood's hit was the only hit out of the infield(3 hits in the game by both squads) with a single to right scoring the first run of the game from 3rd in the top of the 8th. The West would win the game with a run in the 10th, for a 2-1 victory.

Bryan's Amber Binder has signed on to play at Angelina College in Lufkin. Binder was a 2nd team all-district player, 2nd team Academic All-Brazos Valley, and 5A Academic All-State in 2008. Binder, 1 of 5 seniors on the 2008 Varsity, joins teammates Calli Wood(Sam Houston), Kristin Lara(Texas A&M Corpus Christi), Courtney Ford(West Texas A&M), and Michelle Stratta(Temple College) who will continue to play in college.
