 Technology Academy
Located on the main BHS Campus, the BISD Bryan High School Technology Academy, grades 9-12, is an innovative, web-accessible, “hands-on,” interdisciplinary half-day program that affords students the opportunity to earn regular, pre-AP and/or AP English, Social Studies, and Technology credits for graduation, while developing skills related to the use of 21st century emerging technologies. While students gain the greatest benefits by participating in the full four years of the coherently-sequenced coursework, students can apply to enter the program if prerequisite courses, such as Business Computer Information Systems (for an entering 10th grader) and Computer Science (for an entering 11th grader), have been mastered prior to enrollment at the Tech Academy.
No doubt, students will be prepared to enter the work force and/or further their education/training in college, having gained invaluable knowledge and skills while participating in the Tech Academy program and its business/industry internships. Upon completion of the BHS Technology Academy program, students will have the opportunity to obtain any combination of these credits/certifications: College Advanced Placement, Articulated College Credit, the MOUS Certification, the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) Certification, or the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Certification.
