GRADING SYSTEM REVIEW:
20%     Dress Out (Major)
Start with 100 at the beginning of each 6-weeks.
-5 points each day not dressed out (this includes pulling uniform over jeans)
-5 points each day absent (may be made up with me)
-2 points each day not dressed out in CORRECT BHS UNIFORM

20%     Participation (Major)
Start with 100 at the beginning of each 6-weeks.
-5 points each day not participating
-5 points each day absent (may be made up with me)
Any other points deducted are at teacher discretion

20%     Fitness (Major)
Each day at the track, you are required to do 8 laps to get an A and a minimum of 6 to get a 75 in a 24 minute period.
Your grade is based on how many of those required laps are performed.
All fitness days are then averaged together.

20%     Skills Test (Daily)
This is a one time grade, usually at the progress report time of your skill performance.

20%     Written Test (daily)
Each 6-weeks you will take a written exam.
Each week, you will do work in your TAKS packet.
Any other written assignments will be averaged in this category.
Academic Language (Weekly)

TARDY POLICY:
Be inside the Dressing room doors.  Period.  No discussion.  Tardy may also be counted if you are late arriving to the gym FROM the locker room.  School rules will be followed on all tardies.

ABSENT POLICY:
If you are absent, even if it is a school sponsored event, you are STILL RESPONSIBLE for the work we do in PE.
YOU must see your teacher about doing a make up assignment to earn back your points lost from both dress out and participation.

DRESS OUT CONSEQUENCES:
1st offense (each 6-weeks) will be a warning whether we talk to you about it or not.
2nd offense (each 6 weeks) will be a letter home to parents (whether we talk to you about it or not.)
3rd offense and above will be a teacher d-hall. (WHETHER WE TALK TO YOU ABOUT IT OR NOT!)
