Alicia Martindale, Spanish I
My name is Alicia Martindale, and I am one of the new Spanish I teachers at Bryan High School. I am originally from Georgetown, Texas. I graduated from Texas A&M - class of '97! I taught World History, Spanish I, and Spanish II at Angleton High School from 1998 until 2001. I then taught Spanish and World History for one year at Barbers Hill High Schn ool. I returned to Angleton for three and a half years and taught an elective Spanish course to 5th and 6th graders. For the past year and a half I have been back in the Georgetown area. I taught Spanish to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at Forbes Middle School. Now, I am so happy to be at Bryan High School and teaching Spanish I.
Interesting tidbits...I have three adorable children - my stepson Jake is 12 years old, my daughter Ava is 2 1/2 years old, and my son Cooper is almost 5 months old. I am a third generation Aggie and we're already teaching Ava to say Gig'em! My husband Mike is a principal at Rock Prairie Elementary in College Station.
Spanish is a passion of mine! I love the language! I love teaching the language! I am not a native speaker, so I am solid proof to our students that you can learn a language starting from scratch!
I can't wait to get to know everyone! I plan on making Bryan High my home!
