Welcome to Algebra II/TAKS prep! It will be an exciting year!
Hi! I'm Diana Kruse. I am a Math Teacher for my first year at BHS this year. I moved to Bryan in June, and am looking forward to exploring Texas as I am originally from Michigan. Wow it's hot down here!
I graduated in 2001 from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Mathematics Education for 7th-12th grades. Since then, I've been a Middle School teacher, an Adjunct Instructor at a Community College in Michigan, most recently a High School Math Teacher in Louisiana for 1 year, and now I'm here for an exciting year in Texas.
I love math, and hope that by the time our year is up I've managed to spread some of my enthusiasm on to my students. While I know many students struggle with ideas and concepts presented in math classes, I believe every student can learn math and even find something enjoyable within the class! I believe also that as with any skill or craft, Mathematics must be practiced and reviewed regularly in order to maintain and improve your skills. In other words, yes there is HOMEWORK!
When I'm not teaching, I try my hardest to see the latest movies, read a ton of books, and enjoy my hobbies of pencil puzzles, knitting and crochet. I love playing all kinds of board games as well (even though I'm not very good at most).
