What is C.A.T.C.H.???
C.A.T.C.H. (Coordinated Approach to Child Health) is a coordinated school health program that builds an alliance between parents, teachers, child nutrition personnel, school staff and community partners to teach children and their families how to be healthy for a lifetime. The four C.A.T.C.H. components reinforce positive healthy behaviors throughout a child’s day and make it clear that good health and learning go hand in hand. These four components are:
• Go for Health Classroom Curriculum
• C.A.T.C.H. Physical Education
• Eat Smart Nutrition Guide
• Family Home Team Activities.
Bryan I.S.D. implemented the C.A.T.C.H. Program in 2001 and has become one of the leading C.A.T.C.H. school districts in the state.
